Reliquum

Those that remain

The Reliquum serves as a means to an end. Lead with dark intentions, Corvus Letalis has gathered like-minded individuals to serve in not only the destruction of The Dawn Vigil but also the reconstruction of a powerful ascian. While their methods are unorthodox, their goal remains the same, to destroy the ascian’s broken psyche that has been scattered across Hydaelyn and beyond. With the destruction of each shard, Reliquum moves one step closer to his restoration and the ultimate annihilation of our star.

Corvus tol Letalis

Former tribunus of the XIIth legion, hastily promoted and then abandoned after events in Ala Mhigo. Refused to allow his legion to be dissolved, taking those left behind and setting off on his own path. He continues on with his last remaining mission; The destruction of the Dawn Vigil and its leader. He created Reliquum from the remnants of the XIIth, and continued to take in those seeking purpose or whose interests aligned with his own. However, he's not quite sure what motivated him to create the organization, what voice whispered the idea into his ear. He only knows that it may prove vital in his hunt.

Cedrik Greist

Unlike most Viera, Cedrik has never seen the forests of his ancestral homeland nor does he wish to. Born of a pair who had fled the forest to see the world.
Cedrik was taught the skills of a wood-warder by his father Ven Arda, and his mother, Rael Fyth, taught him not only of the outside world his parents loved so much but also of the forest they had once called home so he would understand his heritage.
Tragedy struck when during a freak accident killed Ven during Cedrik’s right of passage, a wood-warder tradition. Distraught, Cedrik returned to his home to find it destroyed and his mother missing. He sat there stunned for a few hours before a strange figure clad in a ratty black robe strolled to the wreckage seemingly from nowhere and began to rummage around in the debris.
Cedrik was wary of the stranger as he approached after pocketing a few odd pieces of debris and offered his hand in friendship. Suspicious, Cedrik peered under the man’s hood but saw only a yellow mask. With nowhere left to go, he took the stranger’s hand.

Deumschurtz

Ascians are a strange and dangerous bunch but none are more strange than the one called Deumschurts. This particular Ascian is an outcast of Ascian “Society”, if you can call it that, as he was deemed too sundered to be of any use. Yes; Deumshurtz is perhaps the most sundered being in existence, having an unknown number of shards and a heavily fractured mind as a result. Their shards vary widely from those of relatively sound mind to those that think spiders have a good fashion sense.Through a cruel twist of fate the single mindedness of the shards has given them access to a terrifying power, the ability to change the world around them to fit whatever they believe. For instance; If a shard believes a single feather to weigh as much as an entire chocobo, it will become so.Now you may be wondering: What hope do we have against such terrifyingly evil beings as these? That’s where the Dawn Vigil comes into play! As the one and only line of defense against these mad beings, the Vigil has thwarted their schemes time and time. Indeed, they have thwarted the dastardly Deumschurtz so many times, to date, that they’ve become a primary target of the shards’ dreadful plans. Now that you know the threat are you willing to join the fight against madness itself?

Mirra Rhava

Elia Wolfe

Her sister taken and her mother lost to the Garleans, Mirra dedicated her adolescence to training. Her heart filled with vengeance, she waited for the Garleans return, hatred consuming her thoughts. One fateful day, she received her wish and happened upon a lone soldier outside the village. With clouded judgment, she attacked him without warning. In her fit of rage, she landed a fatal blow but was severely wounded in the process.Angry at her own foolishness and feeling unsatisfied with her training, she left her home in search of new combat methods. She traveled across Eorzea, learning all she could about the people around her. The more she observed, the more her mind began to warp, seeing the world as nothing but a dark and cruel place. Years passed and her hatred for the Garleans began to twist and spread to all that created injustice. She began applying her skills as a mercenary, feeling a sense of duty. One of her contracts went awry however and she was caught. She bowed her head in defeat but, rather than being met with anger, he met her with opportunity. He spoke of his visions and as she listened, it began to resonate, his intentions aligning with her own. With a nod she accepted and he motioned towards the shadows. With a deep exhale, she took a few steps forward and proceeded into the darkness.

Elia Wolfe

Marik quo Phlox

Marik quo Phlox, a name somewhat infamous amongst the nobility of Ala Mhigo. He was only a boy when the country fell to Garlemald, and their upheaval of the system cost his family everything. Once nobility of the nation, the Phlox family lost both wealth and status when they failed to bend the knee. Seeking to make amends and reobtain some of his family's former wealth, Marik readily joined up with the Garleans when he came of age.Marik spent the better part of a decade serving with the XIIth legion, fighting Garlemald's battles all across the East. Acts of cruelty against his own people earned him a "permanent" station in Doma, fighting pockets of rebellion as they arose. There he lost his sight to a Doman samurai, and in Hingashi he stayed until news of both Doma and Ala Mhigo's freedom came to him.
Soon after, the XIIth was to be dissolved... If not for its new Tribunus. Marik signed on with Corvus' new band of misfits, seeking opportunity or revenge... Or maybe a little voice had spoken in his ear, telling him this was the right decision.

Estelle Derinloire

Estelle Derinloire was born to an exiled Ishgardian noble and a Succubus, and raised in the Coerthan Highlands in a dingy little cabin. It
wasn't much, but they had each other and he raised her as best he could. She inherited his temper and disposition, as well
as his ability to wield magick, quickly mastering fire and thunder, but ice would prove to be the bane of her existence, both
literally and figuratively. She loathed the cold, and it seeped into her ability to cast it, though it didn't seem to hinder
her in the slighest.
When she returned to Ul'dah with her father, she was quiet and awkward despite also being quick to anger, and struggled to
adapt to life around so many people. Those in her father's Free Company, the Moonflower Institute, were fine people, but
she faced difficulty in connecting with them, including her uncle, Kaiser Umbra.
Things changed quickly after her father had brought her to the Institute. Estelle was used to having a monopoly over her
father's attention, and suddenly there was another baby on the way mere moons later. Her mother, who had been absent until
now, returned to cause strife for her, her father, and her uncle by way of a gift gone awry, and ended up with the Duskwight
being possessed by a parent she neither knew or had any love for. She bore witness to her father falling under her mother's
spell, and any regard for her well-being being thrown to the wind as if she'd never existed. The problem was swiftly rectified
with the help of Kaiser, though it did little to ease the pain and trauma of the experience, or the rage that was left in
it's wake.
Left feeling forgotten and unwanted, the rage slowly continued to build as time went on, only to start to come to a boil
when her mother struck a final time, this time leaving her father in a mentally broken state and unable to communicate.
Estelle tried twice to bring him back around, to have him look at her instead of seeing her mother and to see all the
harm the woman had brought them both. To no avail. An outburst undid all the progress he had made and sent her to the Void.
Having made up her mind, she chose to seek out her mother's stronghold and begin the process of consolidating power, seeing
it now as her birthright and a gift rather than something that Estelle pretended didn't exist. Her power, her anger could
be used for so many things, and she no longer saw a reason to ignore it. If her father could only see her as her mother,
then she would become her, and perhaps help usher in some chaos in the process. After all, there wasn't much to lose anymore.
